Statins for all over 55s?
Professor Sir Nicholas Wald of Barts and the London Medical School stated that all over 55’s should be offered statins. Statins are prescribed to lower cholestorol, so as to lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes. He argues that this would be easier and faster than the current system and all of a certain age will benefit from lower cholestorol.
Sir Nicholas found that age was the most important factor when looking at the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Giving people aged over 55 statins would avoid the need for blood tests and examinations.
Our online pharmacy offers a free doctors consultation and cholestorol lowering service. Our online doctor will review your online questionnaire and may prescribe statins, which are available from www.PharmacyDirectGB.co.uk.
There are a number of statins available. Some may have undesired side effects, so it is important to persevere and see which statins work best for you.
